How to Recognize Common and Uncommon Dental and Oral Lesions in Cats

The recognition and treatment of feline dental and oral lesions are important components in the successful management of feline health. Dental and oral lesions in cats may have a variety of presentations and treatment options. Feline dental and oral lesions include: periodontal disease, tooth resorptive lesions, fractured teeth, mandibular swelling, perialveolar osteitis, gingivostomatitis, feline oral neoplasia, mandibular fractures and temporomandibular luxations.
